Recently we’ve been showing off our outfits of the week on Tik Tok. But we wanted to also share it with our readers who aren’t on social media as much. Below are a couple of the Tik Toks. And below that are pictures of the outfits and a little outfit journal. I know men’s outfits can be a little drab sometimes so hopefully I can give you a little inspiration.
Monday
White Basketball Jersey, Navy T-shirt, Orange pants
If you can’t already tell from some of my other outfits, I love basketball and basketball jerseys. I felt like the white didn’t have enough contrast or “pop” as a top so I added a navy blue t-shirt underneath. On top of that I added a little dog tag necklace to add a little more “pop”. It was a pretty warm day but not hot enough for shorts so I wore these pants which are very light. They’re also very loose so it doesn’t get too hot.
Monday + Layer
White Basketball Jersey, Navy T-shirt, Orange pants
During the mornings and evening when it was a little chilly outside, I added a navy blue cardigan. I figured if the navy blue t-shirt looks good then a navy blue cardigan should also work well!
Tuesday
Tie Dye Sweater, Orange Pants
This was one of those days where the highest temperature was in the mid 70s. I know that isn’t sweater weather for most people, but for me it is. It was also a day in which i was running a lot of errands so i wanted to be comfortable so I felt like I didn’t need a lot of layers. Also I already had my pants out from the day before so I just threw that on.
Tuesday + Layer
Tie Dye Sweater, Orange Pants, Red Rain Coat
It started to get chiller in the evening this day and started to drizzle a little. So I grabbed a red raincoat and threw that on top of everything. It also added another layer of bright colors to really accentuate the outfit.
Wednesday
White Polo, Black and White Plaid pants
I forgot what I had to do this day but it was something where I had to go from business casual to going out for drinks with friends later. Business casual men’s outfits are kind of boring in my opinion so I added some fun pants to add to the outfit. I means there’s few things more boring than a white polo. I don’t know if you can notice it but the pants are a very subtle black and white plaid pattern which give the illusion that they’re grey. I also like the subtle stripe on the side.
Wednesday + Layer
White Polo, Black and White Plaid pants, Black Jacket
I didn’t feel like getting too fancy with a jacket so I just grabbed this black hoodie/jacket. I know it’s not the exciting colors I love but I think it looks good
Thursday
Orange & Pink windbreaker, Blue Button-up, Khaki Shorts
As you can already tell, I love bright colors and wanted to wear this windbreaker . It was also somewhat warm enough to wear shorts and I wanted to wear shorts. I chose the khaki color because I thought that with a lighter color pair of short, it would give the windbreaker jacket more contrast. I feel like I accomplished that. The button up underneath is also a very subtle blue which I believes gives even more “pop” to the outfit.
Friday
Black Shirt, White Turtle Neck, Khakis
This is an e-boy/skater inspired outfit. Usually, I feel like people wear this outfit with tighter black pants, but I don’t really like black pants so I wore these light khakis to give the outfit my own spin. However, I wasn’t sure how much I liked the outfit with the khakis so I switched it in the evening.
Friday Evening
Black Shirt, White Turtle Neck, Black Overalls
I felt the outfit would look better with black pants, but as I said before, I don’t love black pants. So I wore these black overalls. I think it looks much better than the outfit above and so I went out in the evening/night with this outfit.
Saturday
Red Basketball Jersey, White Turtle Neck, Khakis
I grew up in Chicago during the MVP years of Derrick Rose so I had to represent with this Chicago basketball jersey. He was in playing in the playoff at the time of when I wore this outfit. I figured that since I already had the turtleneck and khakis out from the day before, I should just throw my jersey on top. I tried it out. It looked good and so i stuck with it.
Saturday + Layer
Red Basketball Jersey, White Turtle Neck, Khakis, Navy Blue Jacket
In the evening it was a little colder so I layered with this jacket. But actually, I wore it for more aesthetic reasons than functionality.
Sunday
Tie Dye Shirt, Black Pants
I just wasn’t feeling that creative on this day. I feel like this is a typical men’s outfit of a t-shirt and pants. Nothing really special to say about it. Although the t-shirt is one of my faves.
